How does a face-to-face fortune-telling session work?

On average, a card-drawing session in which I face the consultant lasts between 45 minutes and 1h30. Of course, this depends on the questions asked, the consultant's attention span and whether he or she is a beginner or a seasoned reader. During a complete session, I use between 2 and 3 spreads to find clues and provide solutions. In this sense, my methods act as tools for opening up the debate, questioning the consultant and simply answering the questions directly.

To broaden your field of vision, it's vital to use a variety of methods during a session to stimulate your intuition and answer your questions.

Further down on this page, you'll find examples of how you can easily organize your own fortune-telling session by combining the various methods offered on my site.

How to prepare for an online card reading?

Before embarking on a fortune-telling session, it's important to prepare your environment well before starting to draw cards and jumping on the first method that comes along. It couldn't be easier, since you should already be in your comfort zone right now! Or so I imagine. And if you're not, at least find a way to isolate yourself for the duration of the spreads. I assure you, it makes such a difference that here are a few tips on how to make a fortune-telling session a real paradise, and make your readings even more successful.

Designing a calm, pleasant setting

So as not to change things, I'm going to be frank with you: you shouldn't neglect this preparation time. Oh, I assure you, we're not talking about redoing the wallpaper, but it's always a good idea to prepare your consultation room in a welcoming way. Drawing cards is always a small event. And for this you should do a little as if you were preparing to receive friends or celebrate news: you arrange the place, don't you? Entering into reasoning with the Tarot can only be done if you deeply respect what the cards have to tell you. So there's nothing marginal about adding a touch of decoration to your draws. Quite the opposite, in fact: it will make your consultation a success, making it easier for you to immerse yourself in the session, given your need for concentration. Think of it as mental preparation.

As for me, I have my own little rituals. For example, I always have a few stones close at hand, and as I write this, I'm gently caressing a labradorite. Who knows why :) As for the rest, I like to have a tidy, orderly plan, because that's how my head likes to see things, so that I can concentrate on the tarot and grasp all its nuances.

Drawing cards on the Internet is done from behind a simple screen. The possibilities for isolating yourself in your own world are therefore endless. The ideal is to be where you like to be, and drawing cards from your bed, on your desk, or surrounded by your cats can be just the thing. In fact, that's not the most important thing. No, what's really important is to be able to concentrate with all your senses, to be able to call on your memory and intuition more easily. And for that, there are no 36 solutions!

The most important thing is to be in a place of calm and sobriety..

This is the key to a successful reading. If your surroundings are noisy, whether it's your family, your neighbors, work going on in the street or disturbing colleagues, postpone your fortune-telling session without a second's hesitation!

Are you a music lover? It's perfectly possible to add music. Just avoid songs with lyrics. And if you feel like it, you can try listening to music at 432Hz- it's even better when the waves match us!

To conclude on the comfort aspect, don't forget to turn off the ringing phone and anticipate any constraints that might cut you off. For example, I need to think about feeding the cat (in my case).

Take the time you need

In a face-to-face session, as you can imagine, I set the pace for the reading. By quickly passing over trivial facts and depending on the importance of a particular meaning, everything can change. For example, when there are so many clues that you need to mention certain subjects, but also between 2 methods to chat a little and catch your breath! In short, there are plenty of reasons to slow down or speed up, just like when you're reading a novel.

Via the Internet it's different, because you decide the rhythm by tapping or clicking. Sometimes quietly and sometimes (alas) frenetically (which is not good). That's why the methods I propose on my site are designed to be gentle and pleasant to consult, to give you, I hope, the right rhythm, the one that allows us to understand what the cards want to tell us. Invite yourself, encourage yourself, force yourself if need be, to take this time during your consultation. It's time for you, after all. Believe me, it's vitally important, because you could be missing out on something!

Solo or group card drawing

It's perfectly possible to draw cards with more than one person. In fact, that's how I learned. By watching my family draw cards. That's all I'm going to say about it, but you should know that drawing cards together is a delight for teenagers (especially when it comes to love). It's also fascinating as a couple to find the paths that unite us, and it's stimulating when you're working on a project together, whether in a company or with friends.

It is, of course, an extra-ordinary moment of intimacy when practiced solo. It's a real therapy and a personal moment of self-examination, a time when we can finally take time for ourselves and analyze events more deeply to bring out all their facets.

Never forget that the Tarot deck is first and foremost a card game, and that it was designed to be fun. You can be serious and still have fun, can't you?

Examples of how to organize a session and draw cards

Let's get down to business. First of all, let's talk about my methods.

The methods I propose on my site are designed to answer specific questions. These methods all complement each other. This means that the methods can also be combined to study the problems posed. They are sufficiently detailed and clearly laid out to be performed in the same way as a real-life session. In this way, you can organize your fortune-telling session at home by selecting the desired readings.

General questioning session

It's a bit like a weekly session, or one you can do every 3/4 days.

It's also the ideal session when you're wondering about various general issues: work, projects, family, friends, travel. These 2 variants are perfect in these cases, and you choose your session according to the time you have available. Although it's important to respect the order of the methods in these combinations, the Yes - No draw can also replace the dog of spades in the long version.

General questioning (short variant)

Time : 15 ~ 20mn

General questioning (long variant)

Time : 25 ~ 40mn

Emotional session

This session is more focused on intimacy and your desires, whether you're in a relationship or not. Perfect when you're wondering about your love life or need to find answers to a complicated situation. It's the right session for digging deeper into personal feelings.

Affective questioning (short variant)

Time : 10 ~ 15mn

Affective questioning (long variant)

Time : 25 ~ 40mn

Of course, you can vary the combinations as you please. In particular, the Yes / No draw could just as easily take place in the middle of the session to shed a little more light on the situation. Improvise when you can (but don't do just anything either), and you'll see that your draws will be much more meaningful.

Finally, don't forget to pause between draws. These moments exist during a face-to-face draw, when we talk about things, and they are essential to ensure that the session is flawless and rich in emotion.

Happy draws, happy sessions!
